Tokyo, February 2, 2023 – On February 2, Celsys announced the results of the 34th International Illustration Contest. This contest, which was held from December 13, 2022 to January 9, 2023 with the theme of "Fairy", gathered 3,464 works, and 20 winners were chosen from all over the world.

Comment from the winner: I always think of fairies as an idealism. They represent purity, beauty and love. Thank you so much for giving me this prize. It is my honor. I hope these two little lovers warm your heart.
There were also a number of entries for the Timelapse Award, which requires contestants to submit a timelapse video showing how their entry was made. The winner of the Grand Prize received US$2,000, while the randomly selected winner of the Timelapse Award received an activation code for Clip Studio Paint PRO.

The two fairies are beautifully rendered, and the muted color palette matches the illustration. By having the fairies hold flowers, the artist could convey how small they are, enabling the viewer to immediately enter this world of fairies. (Celsys)
