Celsys released the latest update of its illustration, comic, webtoon, and animation app, Clip Studio Paint Ver. 2.2.0, on September 26. This Ver. 2.2.0 update gives monthly usage plan and update pass holders early access to the latest features that will be included in future versions.

■ 3D feature improvements
You can now set the body shape of 3D drawing figures in more detail, with a depth and thickness setting. You can now also import VRM 3D file formats, a format popular for 3D avatars, VTuber models, etc.
■ Use Clip Studio Assets with more ease in Simple Mode
You can now access Clip Studio Assets recommended materials without opening your browser when using Simple Mode for tablets and smartphones, released in 2023. Clip Studio Assets is a service where you can download screen tones, 3D materials, and more and even upload your own materials. In Simple Mode, you can explore popular materials and download them easily.
■ Smart Smoothing scaling feature
Smart Smoothing is now available to fill details when increasing image resolution. This feature allows you to raise the resolution of your image when scaling it up.
■ Animation feature improvements
Add and delete layers in animation folders more intuitively for a better animation workflow.
