Celsys, the developer of the illustration, comic, webtoon, and animation app Clip Studio Paint, collaborated with publishers and vocational schools in the field of manga to exhibit at the Japan Expo 2023, an event dedicated to Japanese culture to be held in Paris, France, from July 13 ~ 16, 2023.

Japan Expo is an all-round Japanese culture convention that is held for four days every year in early July. The event is dedicated to more than just manga, anime, and video games, featuring other subjects including martial arts, fashion, music, film, and other Japanese cultural traditions. Many prominent speakers from a variety of backgrounds, including renowned illustrators, popular streamers, and YouTubers also attend the event.
During the four-day event, Clip Studio Paint will exhibit at several booths to introduce the functions of Clip Studio Paint and distribute activation codes for three months of use of Clip Studio Paint EX.
As the main sponsor, Clip Studio Paint will be supporting Mangas.io, the first subscription-based manga reading app in Europe, at its booth, Quartier Manga, at Hall 5A, Stand A156. The Quartier Manga booth will be a realistic, immersive booth decorated to resemble a Japanese side street. It will have over 13 companies from the manga and anime industry, including manga publishers Kana, Nouvelle Hydre, and Nazca, the online streaming platform ADN, as well as distributor giant FNAC. Other scheduled events include book signings by France-based artists, games, live demonstrations, and contests. At the booth, visitors can try out Clip Studio Paint and receive an activation code to use Clip Studio Paint EX for three months.
On Saturday, July 15, a panel will be held on the KURI stage at Japan Expo, introducing the sponsors of Quartier Manga and will feature live collaborative painting using Clip Studio Paint.
Clip Studio Paint will be exhibited at a joint booth with Human Academy Europe, a manga, animation, and game school in Angoulême, France at Hall 5A, Booth H184. In the demonstration area, the school's students will show how to use the app on a variety of devices, including tablets, iPads, and smartphones. Activation codes to use Clip Studio Paint will also be distributed.
