Released in 2012, Clip Studio Paint is a graphics software for illustrations, comics, and animation, packed with tools including realistic pen and brush tools for a variety of styles. Artists of all levels use Clip Studio Paint, from digital art beginners to professional concept artists, comic artists, illustrators, and animators. It is used as an industry tool in game and animation studios as well as universities and vocational schools.
In November 2017, we released an iPad version of our software worldwide in addition to the Windows and macOS versions. The software is available in seven languages (Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Korean, French, Spanish, and German), and half of our users are outside Japan. Clip Studio Paint has become a global standard for creators all over the world.
Our most recent updates in last November and this February included new AI features that saw an excellent response on social media, including “Colorize”, “Remove tones” and “Pose Scanner”. Our recent updates also include improved animation features such as camerawork, digital exposure sheet compatibility, and audio file compatibility. We are taking efforts to improve Clip Studio Paint for professional animation studios, even being recognized by the Japanese government as eligible for subsidies for IT tools.
